How does the HERO9 Black compare with the HERO8 Black and HERO10 Black?

The available sources don’t provide enough matched specifications to compare the GoPro HERO9 Black’s overall performance or features with either the HERO8 Black or the HERO10 Black. A weight claim reports an increase from 125 grams to 159 grams, but it doesn’t explicitly identify both figures by model GoPro Hero 9 Black: Every New Feature Detailed…. Treat that as a reported change, not a fully model-by-model comparison.

One source says the HERO9 and HERO10 share the same battery GoPro Hero 9 Black – Reviewed & Tested – The…. Another says the HERO9 battery isn’t backwards compatible with older batteries GoPro Hero 9 Black: Every New Feature Detailed…. How can you tell whether the HERO9 Black is charging, and how long does its battery take to charge?

The available sources don’t specify how to tell whether the GoPro HERO9 Black is charging, and they don’t give a charge time. That leaves both questions unanswered by the evidence provided; there’s no supported indicator behavior or charging duration to report.

The listing gives average battery life as 80 minutes GoPro HERO9 Black – Waterproof Action Camera…. That is a battery-life figure, not a measure of how long charging takes. It also isn’t identified as an independently tested runtime, so it should be read as a listing specification rather than a guaranteed result.

If you’re planning around the GoPro HERO9 Black, don’t use the 80-minute figure to infer charge time or a charging indicator GoPro HERO9 Black – Waterproof Action Camera…. For the GoPro HERO9 Black, the evidence supports mentioning Scheduled Capture, Duration Capture, and front-screen preview—not supplying menu paths or button instructions that aren’t in the sources GoPro Hero 9 Black hands-on: All the tools to… GoPro Hero 8 vs 9 Black. The GoPro HERO9 Black’s listed video and photo capabilities are specified separately from these operating details GoPro Hero 9 Black – Reviewed & Tested – The….

The listing gives the GoPro HERO9 Black an average battery-life figure of 80 minutes GoPro HERO9 Black – Waterproof Action Camera…. That figure is presented as a listing specification, not an independently tested runtime or a guarantee for every recording situation.

Separate sources describe battery life as 30% longer on average or as a claimed 30 percent increase GoPro Hero 9 Black: Every New Feature Detailed… New GoPro Hero9 Black Action Camera Goes Big So…. Those are published claims, not assurance of a particular runtime in practice. The HERO9 battery isn’t backwards compatible with older batteries, while the HERO9 and HERO10 are reported to share the same battery GoPro Hero 9 Black: Every New Feature Detailed… GoPro Hero 9 Black – Reviewed & Tested – The….

An optional housing is reported to extend the camera’s depth range to 60 metres GoPro Hero 9 Black – Reviewed & Tested – The…. The evidence doesn’t establish which accessory you should buy, or the exact runtime you’ll get under specific recording conditions. For the GoPro HERO9 Black, consider the listed runtime, battery compatibility, and whether the stated extended depth range is relevant to you; don’t treat the battery-life increase as a personal-use result GoPro HERO9 Black – Waterproof Action Camera… GoPro Hero 9 Black: Every New Feature Detailed… GoPro Hero 9 Black – Reviewed & Tested – The….
