Specifications and Key Features – AKASO Support… Its listed slow-motion mode is 1080P at 120 fps. Specifications and Key Features – AKASO Support… These are stated capture modes; the available sources don’t independently verify image quality.

The Amazon listing describes modes from 4K at 30 fps through several 720P frame rates, alongside 20MP photos, but doesn’t enumerate those 720P rates in the claim available here. Amazon.com: AKASO Brave 4 Action Camera with… A separate support specification identifies video files as MOV using H.264 / AVC1, with photos saved as JPG. Specifications and Key Features – AKASO Support…

For the AKASO Brave 4, the published resolution and frame-rate figures tell you what modes are claimed, not how footage will look in your conditions. The source material provides no independent image-quality assessment, so you can’t treat the headline resolution as proof of detail, color, or stabilization results. Those qualities remain unverified here.

How deep can the AKASO Brave 4 record underwater, and does it need its waterproof case?

The AKASO Brave 4 is not waterproof without its case, according to manufacturer support information. Specifications and Key Features – AKASO Support… With the included case, the stated depth rating is 40 meters (131 feet). Specifications and Key Features – AKASO Support… The Amazon listing also instructs users to place the camera in its waterproof case and fasten it before recording underwater. There’s a conflict worth noticing: CameraReview gives the AKASO Brave 4 a 30-meter depth rating and also says it isn’t waterproof without the case. Akaso Brave 4 — specs, score & where to buy ·… The available sources don’t resolve why the depth figures differ, so we can’t present one rating as independently confirmed or explain the discrepancy.

If you’re considering underwater use, the clear point across these sources is the need for the case; the exact depth limit is less clear. The manufacturer support figure and the CameraReview figure don’t match. No first-hand test or additional evidence here establishes which rating applies to this bundle in practice.

Does the AKASO Brave 4 come with a floating hand grip, or must it be purchased separately?

The AKASO Brave 4 bundle listing says its accessories kit includes a floating hand grip in bright yellow. Amazon.com: AKASO Brave 4 Action Camera with… For this named bundle, the listing therefore describes the grip as included rather than as a separate purchase.

That answer applies to the bundle identified in the listing, not every package sold under the Brave 4 name. The available claims don’t establish what other AKASO Brave 4 packages include, or whether they contain a grip. Package contents can’t be inferred from this one bundle’s description.

The listing also names a camera body and accessories kit among the box contents. Amazon.com: AKASO Brave 4 Action Camera 4K30fps… If the grip is important to your purchase, confirm that you’re looking at the same named bundle: the claim supporting inclusion is specific to this listing. The sources don’t give further details about the grip’s design or performance.

How do you install the Brave 4 in its waterproof case and attach a floating grip before filming?

The available instruction for the AKASO Brave 4 underwater is limited: place the camera in its waterproof case and fasten the case before recording below water. The bundle listing says the accessories kit includes a floating hand grip. Amazon.com: AKASO Brave 4 Action Camera with… However, the available sources don’t explain how to attach that grip to the AKASO Brave 4, identify a particular mounting point, or give a setup sequence. That installation information is unavailable here.

So the supported guidance is narrow: the listing calls for the camera to be placed in its waterproof case and the case fastened before underwater recording. What are the Brave 4’s main limitations for underwater recording compared with a GoPro?

CameraReview notes that the AKASO Brave 4 processor can struggle when shooting at high resolutions. Akaso Brave 4 — specs, score & where to buy ·… That is a reported limitation, not a result independently tested in the available material. The source doesn’t quantify when the issue occurs or how it affects footage.

The AKASO Brave 4 also requires its waterproof case for waterproofing, according to manufacturer support information and CameraReview. Specifications and Key Features – AKASO Support… Akaso Brave 4 — specs, score & where to buy ·… Manufacturer support gives a 40-meter rating with the case, while CameraReview reports 30 meters; the available sources don’t resolve this difference. A direct, like-for-like underwater comparison with a GoPro isn’t provided. That means comparative performance, including which camera records better underwater, can’t be established from these claims. The evidence supports noting the case requirement and the reported processor concern; it doesn’t support declaring the AKASO Brave 4 better or worse than a GoPro overall.

Which underwater camera accessories are compatible with the AKASO Brave 4?
